RemoteFS offers you a clean and elegant way to browse your computers files directly from your iPhone or iPad! Microsoft Office and Apple iWork documents, your photos, your videos, your music... each one of them becomes available at the tip of your finger.

You just need to install a RemoteFS Agent on those computers - Mac OS X and Windows are supported (Linux soon). You’ll find the agent at the following address:

RemoteFS is different for many reasons:
- Its universality: it allows you to browse any type of filesystems (NTFS, HTS+, ext2 and more) and all the mount points connected to them (NAS, TimeCapsule, TV Box and more). RemoteFS virtualizes your files.
- Its speed: your thumbnails are computed by the computer - and not the device itself - reducing cumputation time and network transfers... all becomes faster!
- Its flexibility: RemoteFS is one of the few to offer you several different views to browse your files: list mode, thumbnails mode and detailed mode.
- Its openness: the RemoteFS Agent runs on Mac OS X, Linux and Windows - in fact any Java 1.6+ compliant operating system.

Several other points are remarkable:
- You can visually customize your application (three themes are actually available).
- You can stream your videos directly from your computer to your iDevice (supported file formats are available more far further in this sheet)
- RemoteFS Agent offers you the flexibility you need to setup your agent: passwords, published filesystem paths, exclusion regular expressions, etc.
- We didn’t forget security: exchanges are secured through SSL connections, sensible informations are encrypted and each transaction is secured.
- If you want, you can even access your agents from the Internet.
- RemoteFS can interact with the other applications of your iDevice - like GoodReader - or even with your photo library.
- A local storage space is available to help you download or upload files from or to several different agents.
- And even more...

Any file types are supported. RemoteFS allows you to directly read the following formats:
- Office: PDF, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Apple iWork (Pages, Number, Keynote)
- Photos: Jpeg, PNG, Bitmaps, TIFF and GIF
- Videos: H.264 and MPEG-4 (QuickTime included)
- Others: MP3, CSV, HTML and text files

Oh well, and yes, RemoteFS is universal: buy it once, use it twice ;-)
